It's All In The Details

I didn't get a chance on Friday to post all of the pictures of my studio for the "Where Bloggers Create" party. Although you got an overall view of my room, I thought I would share some of the details that personalize my creative space. The picture on the suitcase is one of my favorites. It's actually a real photo postcard from 1924 of my grandfather and his fellow swim team members. I love the swimsuits!

  1. I love your studio! Great old photos and clocks. Thanks for sharing! And welcome to blogland.

  2. I love the additional glimpses into your studio. I love the clocks on the shelf! Thanks again for more photos...and for stopping by to say "hello", too!

  3. Hi Jane,
What a wonderful space you have! I really love your antique dress form, your fabulous clock display and that wonderful old cubby thing on the wall. It's all beautifully pulled together. Thank you for the tour and thanks so much for stopping by my "Fleurish" blog and leaving such a nice comment!

  4. Hello Jane,
Thank you for coming by and for the sweet message. So glad you did so I could find you. I love your space and this post of the close-ups.
I love your collections of clocks and all of your beautiful display cubbies and shelves. What a wonderful place to create!

  5. Hi Jane, What a wonderful space and I love your clock collection! I was gone for a few days and missed the party! So... I am a little late getting here. Thank-you for sharing, I will come back to visit. Stephani:)

  6. I too am blessed with so many of my families old photos and I love how the decor that I love uses vintage pictures.
Love you studio and your collection of clocks is fabulous.
    I am starting one.

  7. Okay Jane, I'm back AGAIN! yep, I'm a pest...forgive me!
I'm just taking a closer look at all the things I love about your space! That Shirley surely is beautiful I tell ya!!!!
    everything vintage

  8. Love the clocks and the suitcases! Thanks for your comment on my post. I thought you might like to know that the two vintage/antique stores we went to in Dallas were Dolly Python's (on N. Haskell, open 'till 6:00) and Lulu B's (on Greenville, open 'till 7:00). They were pretty close to one another and I recommend them both, we had so much fun searching around!

  9. I am very late getting to the rest of the studios and don't know if I will make it to everyone! I see that we both collect clocks! Your studio is warm and so very vintage.

I also enjoyed reading about Mamie. Loved the pictures you shared too.

  10. I just had to tell you how much I enjoyed your story and pictures of Mamie. She is beautiful :) You have inspired me to do a lil story of my "Ita". I also wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the added pictures of your beautiful studio :) Rose

  11. I'm wondering if you made the shelf for the clocks, or if you found that somewhere? I love the idea and hope to steal from you!
