Art Work Friday

Happy Friday everyone.  I know the weather is bitter cold in so many parts of the country (including here) so I hope you are staying safe and warm.

I am very excited to be joining a new party today...well, it's new for me.  Dee Dee @ d dzine hosts a party every Friday called Art Work Friday where you can link up and share your artwork.  Here's how Dee Dee describes the event:

Anyone interested in displaying their original art pieces is welcome to link up each Friday!
Do you do photography?
(I know many of you do...!)
Oil Paint?
Water color?
Charcoal?
Pencil?
Sculpture?
3D work?
It all counts!!!!

If you haven't visited Dee Dee's blog before please hop over for a visit.  She amazes me with her artistic talent, her fabulous tablescapes and her heart of gold (and she has a mom who is pretty amazing too).

I don't have talent in any of the above mentioned areas but my son is an aspiring photographer and (with his permission) I thought I would post one of his photos today.  I chose this one because it reflects the kind of weather we have been having the past couple of weeks (although there is more snow on the ground now).

I'd like to title it "Winter Hibernation".

Have a great weekend.

Jane

  1. Your son's photo is so serene and calming. I am behind in visiting my favorite blogs this week and just read about your husband's diagnosis. I am sorry to hear the news but your positive attitude will certainly do wonders for you and your family as you move forward. Certainly putting it out there in the world lets you know that you are not alone and that others are wishing you all the best. God bless and keep you both with each passing day. The room makeover is coming along nicely. I collect plates and spoons from all over the State and the world. Lord knows I have too much stuff and now with the Christmas tree down and decorations put away, I have so much cleaning and organizing to do. I'm visiting blogs instead. :) Wishing you a warm and wonderful weekend. All the best to you and yours, Tammy

  3. You son, Alex, did a marvelous job. He's truly talented. I'm glad you shared the info about this linky party. I don't do much drawing, but occassionally some painting (remember the C? haha). I'll list it with the parties on my blog. and yes, living near St. Louis, MO, we are very cold, as well.
