So my "vintage" husband graciously agreed to show off his "thrifty" new toy so that I could join Leigh @ Tales from Bloggeritaville for Thrifty Thursday and Suzanne @ Coloradolady for Vintage Thingies Thursday.
Since my husband can no longer ride his bicycle or go for long walks, he acquired this new scooter last week so that he could still get out and enjoy the nice evenings while I walked. Tonight was a perfect night to get out and I snapped this picture after we got home (he wanted to make sure you all know he wears a helmet, he just didn't want to wear it in the photo). This scooter gets over 100 miles to the gallon so it will definitely be a thrifty ride!
Hope everyone had a Happy St. Patrick's day!
Jane

Boy, I know about how time flies! Cute post. Thanks so much for your nice comments.

What a great picture! That smile is priceless!
ReplyDeleteHe is so happy!
ReplyDeleteFrom the expression on his face, he is definitely happy.
ReplyDeleteHa! You know he's a pretty good guy to let you get away with calling him "vintage", although, I'm sure {like my hubby} they are like wine and get better with age! However, if my hubby ever called me "vintage" I'd kick his butt! : ) Love that snazzy red scooter and I understand they are very economical.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking scooter, great looking hubby and what a good sport for letting you blog about him! Happy VTT and thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove that red scooter..and with that fantastic, gorgeous smile..even if he is vintage,I'd say he's a real keeper. Happy VTT to you both..hope your weekend is a lovely one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun scooter! Happy VTT...

So cute, Jane. I'm sure he'll get lots of enjoyment out of it. Good for him for wearing the helmet, too!

Have you ever watched Grease 2? The song "Coo-oo-oo-ool Rider" is going through my mind.
ReplyDeleteHe is going to have a blast with the bike!
Boys always do get giddy and cute about their toys (especially if they have engines!)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have a favor to ask...
I'm trying to win a party contest and would love your help! Would you go here:

and leave a comment at the end of the article? Your comment will give me a vote. Thanks so much! I appreciate it lots. <3
I love the "vintage" hubby comment, I think I'm going to start telling my kids I'm not old, I'm vintage! That's a nice scooter. They kind of remind me of the minibike my brother had when we were kids.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
Tell your husband he has a great "ride" I love the red. You can't beat 100 mpg for thrifty.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Beverly...great "ride"!! As for the "vintage" comment...I am going to use that one!
ReplyDeleteHow happy does he look?? I can imagine him scootin' around town with that great big grin on his face.
ReplyDelete~Maggie~
LOL! He looks ready to be on his way!
ReplyDeleteHappy VTT

Love your hubby's new scooter. I want a Vespa so badly...but my hubby would only allow me to ride it around the yard. What fun is that? I want to take it out and explore. Maybe I'll eventually wear him down, but that will probably be when I'm too old to ride it and he'll agree because he knows I'm too old.
ReplyDeleteThat huge smile says it all!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI can tell he's definitely loving it! I'd like a scooter, too for getting around locally!
ReplyDeleteYour "vintage cutie" is a keeper. I have a vintage cutie too. Now that he has to wear reading glasses I think he is even cuter! Take good care of him. Any man who will allow himself to be called vintage on a blog for so many women to see, is a real gem!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Susan and Bentley

Looks like fun. Hope he shares with you sometimes!
ReplyDeleteHandsome husband and a good sport, what more could a girl want?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun ride...and what a long ride you could take with that gas mileage...Have a great VTT!
ReplyDeleteVaroom, Varoom...
ReplyDeleteAnd away he goes!
100 miles to the gallon?! That looks so fun! I want one!
ReplyDeleteWhen I try to sell the idea to Natalie, I'll explain that it's very fuel efficient! :)
Jane your husband looks pretty happy about his new ride. I love this picture so much! Good for him, wearing a helmet.
ReplyDeletehugs
Hi Jane...
ReplyDeleteOhhh what fun! I want a scooter like that and you can't beat 100mpg! hehe! I think it's awesome that your honey has this scooter so that he can join you on your walks! That's sooo sweet, my friend!
I wanted to thank you for coming by and taking a peek at my Spring Green tablescape and for leaving me such a sweet note! Thank you, Jane!
Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design
