It's time for another Silver Sunday!
Thanks to Beth @ Gypsy Fish for hosting this now monthly meme. Please be sure to link back to Gypsy Fish to join the party and visit all of the Silver Sunday participants.
Today I had a little time to put together a couple of Easter displays. I don't do a lot of Easter decorating but I had a good time combining some of my silver pieces with my Easter decorations to bring a little bit of the holiday into my home.
My kitchen table centerpiece, a thrift store rabbit sitting in a grass filled pyrex dish/silver stand (both thrift store finds):
A thrift store bunny wearing a vintage silver pin sitting in a silverplated creamer is ready for her place in the living room:
Some silver for the dining room, a metal rabbit that resembles a chocolate foil bunny:
For the kitchen, a vintage egg basket lined with a hand-embroidered dresser scarf:
And my personal favorite.....silver foil covered Dove chocolate in a silver gravy boat:
Happy Silver Sunday.
Jane

Hi Jane,
ReplyDeleteYou have put together some lovely Easter displays.
I love the silver bunny, he looks good enough to eat!
Happy Silver Sunday.

Love that silver metal rabbit, Jane! I just did an Easter/Spring centerpiece for my dining room table similar to yours with the silver tray. I threw in some of those malted Easter egg candies. I don't do much decorating for Easter either {anymore, anyway}, but I do have bunnies out all year so it kind of seems like I do!
ReplyDeleteI love how you combined your bunnies with your silver pieces, Jane. Very creative. And they are so cute!!

Good Morning! I can't believe you found that paper mache rabbit at the thrift store... great find! He looks sweet all tucked into your silver dish. Ofcourse the clocks are fabulous, I love them! Everything looks so springy, and pretty! I could never keep dove candy out in the open... it wouldn't last long around here:)
ReplyDeleteI don't decorate too much for Easter either but you've inspired me to put together a few vignettes...Thanks, Theresa
I helped myself to one of your chocolates...thank you. Happy Silver Sunday....loved all your displays. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the silver, I love the bunnies, especially the chocolate mold, but really, what isn't to love about actual chocolate in silver. Thanks for displaying your treasures. In case I don't get a chance later to say..... Happy Easter to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteIt's all lovely Jane, especially the centerpiece in the pyrex dish in the silver stand! I've seen those dishes in antique stores before and really liked them but thought they were a little too fancy for me. It sure does make a lovely base for a centerpiece!
