Today is Vintage Black Friday hosted by The French Cupboard
I thought it was about "time" that I joined the party and show you some of my vintage black alarm clocks (corny, I know).
My collection of vintage clocks continues to grow. I found one today at a thrift store which brings my total count to 31. Most of the clocks are Westclox and I am amazed that out of the 31 clocks not one is a duplicate. I've got black clocks, cream clocks, silver clocks, brown clocks and one pink clock.
Here are some of the black clocks that are a perfect fit for Vintage Black Friday:
Happy Vintage Black Friday

Neat Jane. I especially like the square one.

I never, ever come across clocks! What a nice collection.
ReplyDeleteHi Jane,
ReplyDeleteYour clocks are wonderful, as are your pictures. I am always on the look out for old clocks as well, but not so easy to find!
Happy VBF!

Your collection is amazing, not corny at all!
ReplyDeleteI am sad for giving up my collection to move.
I have to get on the ball to find something to post for tomorrow.
As always a treat to see what your up to.
Amy
I think the clocks are amazing. I love clocks, Jane. There is something about them and how they have changed over the years. I wonder what kind of clocks we will have 20 years from now?
ReplyDeleteI think you have more clocks than I do! The third photo is my favorite. The round face in the square box is wonderful. I love art deco.
ReplyDeleteNice!!
ReplyDeleteEwww...very fun! I "think" my favorite is the first one you have pictured. Are any of these pictured the one you found today? Also wondering if any of these work? I love clocks too.

I have a thing for clocks too. My parents have an old grandfather clock from Germany. I love your vintage clocks, especially the rectangular one with the yellowing face.

These are wonderful, Jane, I never get tired of seeing them. They make such great graphics, and how cool is that, that none of them are the same!

I love clocks, Jane! These black ones from your collection are wonderful. I don't know what it is about clocks that I love. I am always on time or early to wherever I have to go, and I wonder if there's a connection there.
ReplyDeleteJane,
ReplyDeleteYour collection is outstanding! The thought and design they put into these always leaves me with my mouth hanging open. Thank you for sharing!

What an awesome collection!
ReplyDeleteHello sweet lady...
ReplyDeleteOhhh my...it's been way too long since we have visited, my friend! How are you doing? I hope that my note finds you well!!!
Jane, I just loved seeing a few of your old vintage clocks...what a fabulous collection you have! 31??? Wow!!! Ohhh...they make such sweet displays...pretty vignettes!!! I think my favorite is the little clock in the first photo. I loved the shape and the colors...that pretty little bronzy/gold band that runs around the clock face! I do have one question though...what is the smaller clock that is on the clock face glass? Was wondering if it showed the day? Hmmm...so interesting! What a fun and fabulous collection!!!
I joined in the VBF party today for the first time! I have always wanted to participate but was unsure of the day. I just happened upon another blog that was participating so I quick and joined in...hope that Jill doesn't mind! Anyway, come by for a visit, sweet lady! It was sooo nice seeing you today!
Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

ReplyDeleteI like your clock collection very much!
Yup, I have a thing for clocks too...although I don't nearly have that large of a collection. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the clocks. I visit your blog often and noticed that you have a lot of vintage photos. I don't know if you have your own, but I have some for sale: http://www.etsy.com/shop/pressedpetals
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of the inspiration!
I guess I'm late in chiming in, but I LOVE your clock collection. My favorite being the cute little round one with the thicker frame (the fifth picture). I've had quite a few, but have scaled down to just my favorites. Funny how it doesn't matter if they work or not, I just love how they look. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteLani
Hi Jane, you have the most fabulous collections. I can't seem to stay on track with any one thing these days. After after our trip, have a lot of tucking away to do of everything we brought home. That means there needs to be some organizing going on. Thank goodness I still have 2 weeks before I head back to work.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great day. :) Tammy
Jane,

ReplyDeletehugs to you
What a great collection, Jane. Haven't been here in a while and missed your inspiration. Barely have time lately to get to my favorite blogs. I think it's summer that does this to me.
