My sister was at a flea market a few weeks ago in Texas and found a vendor selling these old window screens that apparently came from an old army barracks.
She knows I'm a fan of chippy, white, painted pieces so she bought me one as an early birthday present.
The window screen reminded me of a transom window so I hung it above a door in my guest bathroom and added a few old shaving brushes.
Thanks Peggy......I love it!

Jane,
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the screen and all its chippiness!
Elvis was first stationed at the barracks where this came from (so I was told). He could have opened this very screen.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! You are very creative and I love the idea that maybe Elvis looked out this very window!!!! It's aways a pleasure to see what you are making....it is usually something awesome!
