I don't thank Karen @ The Graphics Fairy enough for the wonderful graphics she posts daily for us to use.
No matter what the holiday or occasion, I can always count on finding a graphic I need when I search Karen's blog.
So of course when it came time to alter some books for Christmas, I looked no further than The Graphics Fairy.
I found several fabulous, vintage Christmas graphics on her site that were perfect for some altered books. You've seen this idea from me before (tutorial posted here). But since I was making some new ones for my booth, I thought I would go ahead and repost the idea and show you how my new ones turned out.
This Santa image,
Was altered for this book.
This cute Santa postcard,
Was used on this book.
And this adorable angel,
Now graces the front of this book.
These are very simple to create and they really make a nice decoration for the holiday.
Thanks Karen for posting these wonderful images!
I'm linking this with The Graphics Fairy for Brag Monday.
Enjoy your week.
Jane

ReplyDeleteAnother flippin great idea! I'm totally stealing this one. I've decided this year that instead of dragging out all 5 bins of Christmas, I am going to leave up my rustys and decorate only with what I love around them....
ReplyDeleteI hate the thought of packing away all my good stuff again this year so I'm changing things up and these books will go perfectly!
Thanks (again)
Susan

Very, very cute idea! Yes, love Karen's graphics.
ReplyDeleteOne question about utilizing these colored graphics: WHERE do you find colored ink for a reasonable price? Aren't you constantly replacing your ink cartridges at $30 + dollars a pop?
