I want to start my post with a big thank you for all of the condolences I have received over the past two weeks. I read (and reread) every comment, e-mail and card and I want you to know that your kindness during this difficult time has meant so much to me and my family.
Bruce's life was celebrated just as he would have wanted. There were tears, but more importantly, there was laughter as we remembered the good times he had shared over the years with his family and friends. He will be missed by so many.
As we approach Valentine's Day I thought it would be fitting to repost a few photos of some of my vintage Valentines. I have a large collection of valentines, the earliest from the turn of the 20th century. The valentines have changed over the years but the sentiment of love remains the same.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Jane

These are wonderful and so beautiful I would have them on display as long as possible. I wish they still had cards like this easily available. I guess I wish more people I knew sent cards.
ReplyDeleteJane, I hadn't checked your blog for a while and wanted you to know how very, very sorry I am to hear of Bruce's death. He sounds like a wonderful man -- well-deserving of his hero status -- and it sounds like you celebrated his life beautifully. May each day get just a bit easier for you and your family.
