Framed Key Project

First I want to thank all of you for the wonderful comments you left on the tribute post to my Dad.  I really can't fully convey how much that meant to me.

I haven't had much time to work on projects the past couple of weeks so I thought I would show you a framed key project I made awhile back.

It was probably close to a year ago when I backed some small frames with burlap and framed a few old keys.
I liked the keys framed but individually the small frames did not have a lot of impact.

So I found a larger frame and backed it with a 1950's draft drawing.
I then glued the smaller frames to the larger frame and my project was finished.
Hope you are keeping cool in this hot weather!

Jane

wish I could say its hot here...but...this is the time of year everyone should visit the NW - sometimes sunny but not hot!

  13. So beautiful, Jane! I just recently, and very surprisingly (since finding magazines over here isn't easy) came across Flea Mark Style's Summer 2012 Issue. As I was browsing through, I saw something and said to myself -- hey, they stole Jane's idea. Ha! Turns out, credit was given to you for the oil can jewelry tree. Nice to see your ideas get the acknowledgment they deserve. Have a beautiful day. Tammy
