What do an egg crate and an ornament have to do with each other?
Well, it started with this broken egg crate.
To get the crate looking "like new" I needed to remove a couple of the wood slats.
The crate got a new life.
And the extra wood slats........
up-cycled into an ornament for Christmas.
I cut the pieces, drilled a hole in the center of each piece and thread them on a length of wire.
Perfect for my rustic Christmas decor.
Have a great week!
Jane

Cute idea. I would like to ask you though what to do with the egg crate. I have one that even has the paper egg cartons in it with the wooden top. But I don't have any idea what to do with this. Ideas would certainly be apprectiated.
ReplyDeleteHi Jane, I just happened upon your blog from a picture of snowmen jars on pinterest and I see your egg crate says Owosso! I'm from Owosso. This made me smile. I love how creative people like yourself are re-purposing older items. Kudos to you! Can't wait to check out the ret of your blog. Have a great day and Merry Christmas!
