Color Inspiration

Long before I began my bedroom redo I knew there was one color that I had to have in the room, and the inspiration came from the color of Bruce's wheelchair.
Bruce loved bright green and was thrilled when he was able to order his motorized wheelchair in that color.  We even printed our 2011 ALS Walk t-shirts in the same shade to match his chair.
It wasn't difficult to find accessory pieces for the room in Bruce's favorite color and I love how the color really brightens up the room.

Here a few spots where I added the green.
I'll be back tomorrow with my final post on the bedroom.
See you then!

Jane

It's so beautiful that you are placing items to remember him. I hope when I get the courage, I can display items around my home that remind me of my dad.

  8. Oh Jane ... love what you are doing in your room. Having the pops of Bruce's favorite color will feel very comforting to you, like having his arms around you. I know the final reveal will be beautiful. Having the bird pictures in there gives me an idea for our guest room, where I am trying to create a garden setting feel. Thanks and wishing much happiness for you.

  37. It's weird that you posted this today, because just this afternoon my daughter was talking about wanting to do a walk/run fundraiser for ALS in honor of her Papa. She was telling us she wanted to order green shirts, because that was his favorite color.

I ADORE the touches of green in the room, and I especially love that it's a way to honor your husband.

Do you live in the area? I just moved to Kansas City Area last May for my husband to do graduate school and missed the first flea market but, went to the labor day one! Too cool!
