White Wednesday Window Screen

My sister was at a flea market a few weeks ago in Texas and found a vendor selling these old window screens that apparently came from an old army barracks.
She knows I'm a fan of chippy, white, painted pieces so she bought me one as an early birthday present.
The window screen reminded me of a transom window so I hung it above a door in my guest bathroom and added a few old shaving brushes.
Thanks Peggy......I love it!

Shadowbox Display

I've been in somewhat of a creative slump since getting back from my vacation.  I think I'll blame my lack of motivation on the snow and cold.

I did finish one small project created from a $1.00 thrift store find.

Here's the before of a spice filled shadowbox.
I know, not very pretty but it had good bones.

After cleaning, painting, and reassembling I had nice display for three vintage shaving brushes (one of my many collections).
This is going to be displayed in my guest bathroom with some other vintage shaving items
that I've collected.

I hope to have a couple of projects finished this week and look forward to sharing them with you.

Since this was a very thrifty find you know I'm linking with Linda @ Coastal Charm for Nifty Thrifty Tuesday.

Have a wonderful Tuesday.
